Meet Cookie Jar, this week’s featured pup!

At just 1 year old and about 40 pounds, Cookie Jar is a young, playful girl with plenty of love to give. She arrived at Anderson County PAWS as a stray, but now she’s ready to leave shelter life behind and start the next chapter with a family of her own.

And judging by her personality, she plans on bringing plenty of fun along with her.

She’s Got a Whole Jar Full of Love

Cookie Jar is described as a people-loving, dog-loving bundle of affection. She’s friendly, playful and apparently hasn't received the memo that you're supposed to ration your love — she happily gives hers away for free.

Because she’s still young, Cookie Jar would love a home where she can get plenty of exercise, playtime and enrichment to keep that busy mind and body happy.

Treats would also be appreciated.

Actually, Cookie Jar would probably argue they're required.

Her Biggest Request? Save Her a Spot on the Bed

After a day of playing and exploring, Cookie Jar is looking for the good life — including a cozy place to curl up with her people.

She needs an adopter who will appreciate her energetic, affectionate personality and give her the stability and love she deserves for the rest of her days.

In return, it sounds like her new family should prepare themselves for approximately 40 pounds of unconditional love, enthusiasm and questionable respect for personal space.

Come Meet Cookie Jar

Cookie Jar is currently at Anderson County PAWS in Anderson, South Carolina, where potential adopters can come meet her.

📍 Anderson County PAWS — Anderson, SC
🕒 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 12–5 PM

Even if Cookie Jar isn't the pup for your household, sharing her story could put her in front of the person she's been waiting for.

Somewhere out there is an empty dog bed or let's be realistic, an empty spot on someone's human bed — with Cookie Jar's name on it.

Please share and help Cookie Jar find her forever family!
