Meet Phoebe

At just 2 years old, Phoebe has already experienced more hardship than most dogs ever should.

Before coming into the care of Anderson County PAWS, Phoebe was surviving on the streets while raising a litter of puppies. Still just a young dog herself, she somehow found a way to protect and care for her babies despite having so little.

Now, for the first time, it's Phoebe's turn to be cared for.

Phoebe can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time and you'll quickly discover her sweet, playful personality. Once she feels safe, she loves attention, enjoys being scratched and spoiled, and greets life with a happy, bouncy enthusiasm that's impossible not to love.

Like many dogs who haven't had the chance to simply be a family pet, Phoebe is still learning the ropes. She can be a little mouthy when she gets excited, but it's all part of her goofy charm. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, she has the potential to become an incredible companion.

After spending her young life caring for others, Phoebe deserves a family who will finally care for her.
